Glass Bubble Wrap dish
Fused glass bubble wrap dish. Works perfect for a soap dish, because it keeps the soap raised and lets the bottom stay dry.
To make these, I first make a silicone mold of a sheet of bubble wrap. I then take clear glass powder frit and mix it with a little bit of distilled water, then fill the mold with the frit mixture, soak up all the water, freeze the mold for a few hours, pop the glass out onto my kiln shelf, and fire at a low temperature to fuse all the glass together into a solid piece. I then run it through the kiln once more, to slump into a dish shape. Though this is made with clear frit, it still appears a bit white, as it isn't full fused at the top temperature, but it still lets lots of light through.
Measures 3.25 x 5.25”.
I use all Bullseye 90COE glass.
