Fused glass cave drawing art tile
$30.00 / On Sale
3.75" x 5.75" fused glass dish, depicting pictographs from a section of a cave wall that I thought was such a beautiful design! Wish I had written down where this cave was! The original is in the last picture.
The crackle glass part of these tiles are made first, using multiple layers of powder glass frit, with a clear backing piece, so it's transparent when held up to the light. I then reproduce images of cave drawings and petroglyphs and burn them onto a silkscreen, and then screen the images onto the top layer of glass, by pressing fine glass powder through the screen, then fire them again in the kiln at a low tack-fuse temperature.
Signed and dated on the back.
I use all Bullseye 90COE soft glass.
