Pacman fused glass slumped dish #8
6.5" x 7" PacMan fused glass dish. I made the pattern bar for this (basically a giant murrine, but with fused glass instead of boro) with strips of colored sheet glass, fired it at 1600 degrees, then sliced it up with my tile saw into a little over 20 slices of this pattern, and laid a pattern bar strip on the kiln shelf, with strips of black and blue glass, dammed up all 4 sides, and fired it at 1530 degrees, to melt everything into one big slab. I then cold-worked the edges on a lapidary grinder, then re-fired the piece to gloss it all up again, then slumped it into a dish shape in the final firing. You can see the design from both sides of this dish, as it runs through the entire piece.
Signed and dated on the back. This dish is #8 that I've made so far. I'm selling some that are just the pattern bar slices by themselves, but most slices will be incorporated into tiles/dishes, and I'll have about 20 total when I've used them all.
I use all Bullseye 90COE soft glass.
