Fused glass cave drawing art tile
4" x 6" fused glass display tile, depicting pictographs from a section of a cave wall that I thought was such a beautiful design! Wish I had written down where this cave was.
The crackle glass part of these tiles are made first, using multiple layers of powder glass frit, with a clear backing piece, so it's transparent when held up to the light. I then reproduce images of cave drawings and petroglyphs and burn them onto a silkscreen, and then screen the images onto the top layer of glass, by pressing fine glass powder through the screen, then fire them again in the kiln at a low tack-fuse temperature.
Signed and dated on the back.
I use all Bullseye 90COE soft glass.
